Salvation Army Bell Ringing a Great Success for State Lawmakers
Raised more than $2,350 for local families in need.

WATERFORD – Rep. Kathleen McCarty (R-38) and Sen. Paul Formica (R-20) on Dec. 18 rang the holiday bell for the Salvation Army outside the Waterford Wal-Mart to raise more than $2,350 for local families in need.
“What a wonderful tradition to be a part of,” said Rep. McCarty. “I’m so proud to have been able to help those who are less fortunate this holiday season, and I’m touched by the efforts made by our generous constituents who donated to this worthy cause.”
“We thank the people of southeastern Connecticut for their generosity in helping those in need,” Sen. Formica said. “Your donations will make a positive impact on people’s lives in our region. We also thank Wal-Mart for playing host to these Salvation Army collections across Connecticut.”
