School Supervisor Charged With Sexually Assaulting Teen: Report

A former Waterford school supervisor is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student and providing him with alcohol, police said.

WATERFORD, CT – A woman who had worked as a supervisor at Waterford Country School is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy and providing him with alcohol, according to State Police. She was charged last week with second-degree sexual assault, delivery of liquor to a minor and risk of injury to a child.

According to Fox 61, school administrators said Nicole Souza, 38, of Stonington was fired over what they described as "inappropriate contact" with a student after his discharge from the school in June. Officials also said the student had been placed in a short-term program.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Souza had picked up the teen in Norwich on June 14 and brought him to Griswold, where they were allegedly drinking, the New London Day reported. He became sick later that day and was brought to a hospital with a blood alcohol level of 0.20, police said.

Souza said in an interview that the two had previously gone out five times but denied there had been any drinking or a sexual relationship, according to police.

The teen told detectives that he had sex with Souza twice at her Stonington home, police said.
