Man's Body Found in Thames River After Jump From Bridge [UPDATE]

Update, 4:30 p.m.

A man’s body was discovered in the Thames River and is believed to be the man who jumped off the Gold Star Bridge earlier today, Tess Townsend of The Day reported via Twitter and on The Day website.

After receiving reports of a person jumping off the Gold Star Bridge and landing in the water, the Waterford Fire Engine Company No. 1’s two full time firefighters are assisting New London emergency personnel with the search.

A Coast Guard helicopter was called in to assist, according to the Waterford Fire Engine Company’s Facebook page.
