State To Reconstruct I-395 Bridge In Waterford
The project is expected to close lanes on the interstate and travelers are advised to expect delays.

WATERFORD, CT - The state is planning to reconstruct the Interstate 395 bridge over Route 85 in Waterford, the New London Day reported. Work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2019.
The state Department of Transportation will replace the deck of the more than 60-year old bridge that carries I-395 over Route 85, according to the New London Day. The project is estimated to cost $9.1 million. (To sign up for Waterford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
State workers will also be replacing the bridge’s bearings, smoothing its pavement and painting the steel beams, the New London Day reported. The project is expected to close lanes on the interstate and travelers are advised to expect delays.
