The Best TV Day Of The Year; Plus American Idol And Wipeout
What To Watch For Thursday, March 17

College Basketball, 7 p.m., CBS
It’s madness, I tell you. Back in the olden days, when I worked in an actual office (where I wore actual shoes and actual pants, and not bed socks and sweats), I would do an actual NCAA bracket and put in my 5 bucks. Heck, I even won once (thank you Gonzaga). Now that I work at home, I am doing a bracket with my 10-year-old son and my husband, and we are each putting in 20 bucks. Winner take all. So wish me luck.
Editor's Note: My overly optimistic boss, the talented Mrs. Bass, listed this time at 7 p.m. I'm assuming because she wanted us workers to not watch until 7 p.m. Again, perhaps a tad overly optimistic; there is a 90 percent chance I am watching the pregame as you read (unless it is past 12:30, which I am most definitely watching six games at one time).

American Idol, 8 p.m., Fox
Lee DeWyze (he won last year - remember?) and the Black-Eyed Peas perform. Good heavens. Oh, and goodbye Karen Rodriguez. You seem like a very nice young woman. We wish you well.

Wipeout, 8 p.m., ABC
Kids, it’s SPRING! The daffs are up, the crocuses are blooming, the snowdrops are forcing their way through what is left of the snow … and you know what that means? New Wipeout courses! Yes! Including something the Bed Bugs and another called the … wait for it … Springavator!
