For the last 8 days, I've been eating a vegan diet. My main goal was to lose weight and thus far have totally failed - in fact, I gained 2 lbs this week. I don't feel particularly well, and am suffering from major GI discomfort.
Recent blood work indicated that everything was excellent: cholesterol was lower than it's been in years, triglycerides good etc, so I'm trying to figure my motivation. Prior to this, I've eaten what I consider a healthy, balanced diet and exercise regularly.
So what's should be my motivation? Vegans out there (ethical reasons aside)- why should I continue?
