Three Charged With Forgery, Larceny After Passing Fake $100 Bills
Three New Yorkers were charged by police with forgery for passing counterfeit $100 bills at Best Buy, Target and other local stores.

WATERFORD, CT—Police arrested three people for trying to pass $100 counterfeit bills at a Waterford electronics store Thursday night. Police said they got a call from Best Buy with a report that a man used what were believed to be fake bills. An employee gave police a description of the man, the car he was traveling in and a plate number.
He'd not gone far; police found the vehicle in the Target parking lot across the road and three people, two women and one man, loaded with "merchandise purchased from four Waterford businesses using counterfeit $100 bills," police said.
Police charged Jaquan Spruill, 27, of the Bronx with first-degree forgery, organized retail theft, third-degree identity theft, two counts of fifth-degree larceny, one count of fourth-degree larceny, and two additional counts of attempted larceny. Ebony Brown, 24, of Brooklyn was charged with first-degree forgery, organized retail theft, and three related larceny charges. Jynneera Jones, 25, of Brooklyn was charged with first-degree forgery, organized retail theft, and three related larceny charges.
