Town of Waterford First Selectman, Rob Brule, has named Dani Gorman as the Town’s first Human Services Administrator, a position that will oversee Senior Services and Youth and Family Services by bridging the departments with one shared leader.

In announcing Dani’s appointment and new position, First Selectman Brule reaffirms his commitment to the autonomy of both departments with a greater continuity of care that serves the lifespan. The new Human Services Administrator will work to promote shared resources, enhance existing programming, strengthen community outreach and achieve cost-savings. The pandemic brought to light how important it is for municipalities to be responsive and help people recover from hardships. With this new position, endorsed and supported by the Town’s Senior Citizen’s Commission and Youth and Family Services Advisory Board, the Town will provide oversight that ensures residents of all ages have access to human services to support their most basic and critical needs.
