Water Main Flushing, Hydrant Inspections Occurring In Waterford

Water main flushing and fire hydrant inspections for the Town of Waterford and the City of New London will be conducted during the month of September.

Flushing will be conducted during the day and at night throughout the system. As a result of this procedure, some customers may notice discoloration in the water and lower than normal water pressure.

If discoloration occurs, run the cold water for 5-10 minutes. If the water does not clear up, turn off the water for 10-20 minutes and try the procedure again.

If the problem persists, customers should call 860-447-5222 during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
