Waterford 15s Win Second Game In New Englands

Team defeats Maine, 13-4, to begin the tournament with two wins.

Qunicy, MA - Saturday, Waterford's 15-year-old all-star team defeated Portland, Maine 13-4 in the second round of the New England Tournament.

Connecticut was again led by Adam Goss, who was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and three RBI. Jesse Coates was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI and Connor Lewis was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI. 

Waterford defeated Peabody, MA on Friday, and now have won their first two games in the tournament. in July with a victory over Simsbury.

In the game Saturday, Kyle Chung had two RBI, scored a run and had a base hit. Sam Stout had one hit and scored two runs.  

Waterford gets a day off today and resumes play Monday at 4 p.m. versus Keene, New Hampshire. The team is now just two wins away from claiming the New England Championship.
