Waterford 15s To Play For New England Title
Team plays on Wednesday for chance at New England crown, World Series berth.

Quincy, MA - Monday, Waterford's 15-year-old all-star team defeated Keene, NH, 6-3, to move to the championship game of the New England tournament.
Mike McDermott pitched a complete-game eight-hitter, all singles, and struck out four to pick up the victory. Jesse Coates hit a two-run single in the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie and finished with two hits and three RBIs.
Waterford is undefeated in the tournament and plays on Wednesday at 4:30 for the New England Championship. Since Waterford hasn't lost and whatever team it will face will have already lost once, Waterford would have to lose twice Wednesday to be eliminated.
If Waterford wins Wednesday, they will play in the 15-year-old Babe Ruth World Series in Van Buren, Arkansas. with a victory over Simsbury in July.
