Waterford Children Show Police They Care in Wake of Dallas Tragedy

WATERFORD, CT- On a sad day for law enforcement officers, two little girls decided to show the Waterford Police Department they care.

A recent post on their Facebook page revealed that the girls, identified as Angela and Mikayla, came with their mom to the department’s lobby and dropped off presents they had made. Written in what appears to be crayon, their construction paper messages to the officers of Waterford reads “thank you for your service.”

Also included was a small round object that the post identified as a homemade paper badge.

“You have so many supporters,” commented David Eller. “We just don't make the news, but we are out here just the same. Thank you for putting your lives on the line for us every day.”

The department thanked the girls’ sweet gesture, claiming they really appreciated their support.
