Waterford Community Sends Support to Resident Fighting Bone Cancer

Alicia Hensley of Waterford is undergoing treatment for Ewing Sarcoma.

Waterford Professional Firefighters, in conjunction with Waterford Youth Services, made a combined donation to Alicia Hensley, a Waterford resident who is in 7th grade at Clark Lane Middle School.

Alicia is currently undergoing treatment at Yale New Haven Hospital for Ewing Sarcoma. Donations were given to help assist Alicia’s family with traveling back and fourth to Yale and ensuring they have groceries in their home!

In Alicia’s absence, her uncle Josh Therrien, a fellow Town of Waterford employee, accepted the donation on her behalf. We look forward to meeting Alicia when she is feeling better. Stay Strong Alicia!
