Waterford Considers Plastic Shopping Bag Ban: Report
The measure was introduced at a recent Representative Town Meeting.

WATERFORD, CT — Waterford officials are considering banning one-time use plastic shopping bags, a measure which was introduced by the Green Party in Waterford at a recent Representative Town Meeting, News 8 reports.
According to News 8, the effort is being fueled by the amount of litter the discarded bags have created, which have been found stuck to branches and along the water. Mansfield is also considering ban.
The RTM voted to send the matter to the Public Health, Recreation, and Environment Committee, according to News 8.
