WATERFORD, CT - A Waterford police department officer might have needed to call AAA on Wednesday were it not for the help of his fellow officers.
The department recently posted on their Facebook page that an officer locked himself out of his cruiser after heading out for an emergency call. He was forced to call for back up as it were, and worked as a team with a fellow officer to get the door open.
Police typically carry a spare key, called a jump key, in case such an incident ever occurs. Unfortunately, the officer did not have the spare on him due to the priority call coming in before he could grab it.

A picture was taken of the two officers working to open the door by the Day Shift Sergeant as he "sat feet away in his warm car." The officer in question was not named due to a promise not to reveal his identity.
