Waterford Firefighter Injured In Blaze
A Waterford firefighter was injured and a family affected by the Thursday incident.
WATERFORD, CT - A firefighter was injured while battling a structure fire Thursday afternoon. The blaze was at a 2.5 -story structure at 32 Vivian St.
Fire officials reported that it was a basement fire that burned a staircase. The injured firefighter was transported to a local hospital but returned home Thursday night. The firefighter did not sustain any major injuries.
The American Red Cross provided assistance to a family affected by the fire, an adult and two children.

WTNH reported that the cause of the fire is unclear.
