Waterford Firefighters Free Person Pinned By Large Pieces Of Granite In Tractor Trailer: Fire Officials
The person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to Waterford fire officials.
WATERFORD, CT — Crews were able to free a person pinned between large pieces of granite and the side of a tractor trailer Monday morning in Waterford, according to the Waterford Professional Firefighters Association Local 4629.
In a Facebook post, fire officials said they received a report around 8:30 a.m. of a person being crushed by a large stone slab.
When crews arrived in the area, a person was found inside the back of a tractor trailer and pinned between several large pieces of granite and the side of the trailer, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were able to quickly free the trapped person using hydraulic tools, then initiated life-saving measures, according to fire officials.
The person was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London by the Waterford Ambulance Service for treatment, fire officials said.
