Waterford Firefighters Honored For Dedication

Jan. 11 Post from Waterford Fire Engine Company No. 1:

Last night, Company 1 held its annual banquet. The banquet is a night for members past and present to get together and recap the previous year. We also held the induction of officers and awarded individual members for various actions throughout the year.

Guest of Honor: Town of Waterford First Selectman, Mr. Dan Streward

Line-Up of Officers:
Chief- Rich Cable
Deputy Chief- Tim Oneill
Asst. Dep. Chief- Scott Swift
Captain- Jacob Reagan
Lieutenant- Dean Rowe Jr

Individual Awards:
Firefighter of the year- Nick Petrizzi
Chauffer of the year- Clark Johnson
Officer of the year- LT Dean Rowe Jr

Five members were also awarded a Unit Citation for their actions while responding to a structure fire as the first due Ladder Company. Captain Rich Cable, FF Petrizzi, FF Smith, FF Chapman, FF Pezzolesi.

The members would like to thank Timothy Condon for his hard work and dedication not only during his 2 year tour as Chief, but through all his years of faithful service to Company 1.Tim had many great successes during his tour such as getting the station a new parking lot, getting the new Engine 11, recruiting new members, and starting a large fund raising project, just to name a few.

We would like to give a special thanks to Langley’s Restaurant for great service and an even better dinner!
