Waterford Green Party Announces Campaign Endorsements

The Waterford Green Party (WGP) hereby officially endorses the following candidates and choices for election this coming November 2014:

• Governor and Lt. Gov. : (WRITE-IN) Jonathan Pelto and Ebony Murphy (Pelto/Murphy 2014)
• Rep. US Congress: William C. Clyde (Bill Clyde for Congress) (G)
• State Representative: Billy G. Collins (Bill Collins for State Representative - 38th) (G)
• Secretary of the State: Michael DeRosa (G)
• Treasurer: (WRITE-IN) Rolf Maurer (G)
• Comptroller: Rolf Maurer (G)
• Attorney General: Stephen Fournier (G)
• State-Wide Referendum Question on Voting: YES

The WGP would also like to recommend that voters consider choosing the following candidates on Election Day: State Senator: Elizabeth B. Ritter (D).

We believe that Betsy Ritter would be a preferable choice to Paul Formica. While neither candidate fully adheres to our Ten Key Values or our preferred policies, we believe that Ritter’s values are more similar to ours, as she has a record of looking out for the less fortunate in Connecticut, while Formica has more generally cut costs at the expense of the taxpayers.
