Waterford Man Arrested For DWI In Ledyard
A man was found passed out in a running car early Saturday morning, according to police.
LEDYARD, CT — A Waterford man has been arrested on drunk driving charges in Ledyard. Police said they received a report of a person being passed out in a black Hyundai Sonata Saturday at 3:05 a.m. at the Henny Penny Store in Gales Ferry.
The car was running and there was vomit over the exterior of the driver’s door. The driver was discovered to be intoxicated and was arrested, according to police.
Stephen L. Smith, of 10 Nichols Lane in Waterford, was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released on $500 bond and will appear in New London Superior Court on March 19.
