Waterford Man Charged with Enticing Minor, Child Pornography Production

The suspect faces a mandatory prison sentence of 10 years and a maximum term of a life sentence. BREAKING

WATERFORD, CT - A Waterford man has been charged with attempting to entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, in addition to production of child pornography.

An indictment handed out Wednesday alleges that from April 8 to May 5, the suspect Richard Bruno, 46, of Waterford used a cellphone and other internet-based services to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, according to a release.

The indictment further alleges that Bruno coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce a video from November 2015 through May 2016. The suspect faces a mandatory prison sentence of 10 years and a maximum term of a life sentence.

Bruno has been in state custody since May 19, when he was arrested on related state charges.

The charges are being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Connecticut State Police and New London Police Department.
