Waterford Police Attempt To ID Alleged Wallet Thieves

Police are searching for two people accused of stealing an elderly woman's wallet and using her credit cards.

WATERFORD, CT — Police are seeking to identify two people accused of stealing a wallet from an elderly woman's purse. Police said the incident occurred at BJ's Wholesale on March 18 at 2:05 p.m.

The two people were later spotted at the Waterford Walmart parking lot in a white Chevrolet Equinox or Traverse at 2:11 p.m.

A woman then purchased multiple gift cards in excess of $1,000 using the victim's credit cards.

The victim's credit card was also later used to purchase $212.66 worth of merchandise from Kohl's in Orange.

Multiple other attempts to use the victim's cards occurred but were declined due to suspected fraudulent activity, according to police.
