Waterford Police Issue Warning About Foreclosure Scam
Police said a scam that involves sending letters to homeowners about impending foreclosure is making the rounds.
WATERFORD, CT — Police are issuing a warning about a scam that involves letters telling homeowners that their home is going into foreclosure.
Police wrote in a Facebook post: "Those clever scammers never stop do they? Do yourself a favor.....if people call....don’t give out any info. If you get mail, read it but find proper contact information on your own to call the proper people back. Don’t trust anyone soliciting your information."
