Waterford Police Release Old Norwich Road Accident Update

A car accident that resulted in a Life Star transport to the hospital occurred on Thursday, June 4. The accident is under investigation.

On Thursday, June 4, at approximately 7:55 p.m., the Waterford Emergency Communications Center received a radio call from an officer that a serious motor vehicle accident had occurred in the area of Old Norwich Road at Uncas Avenue in the Quaker Hill area of the Town of Waterford.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. It was reported that there were two vehicles involved in the motor vehicle accident and that two occupants of one of the vehicles were trapped inside the vehicle.

The occupants of the second vehicle were not injured. One of the occupants that was trapped was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London by the Waterford Ambulance Service and was later admitted due to his injuries.

The other occupant was transported by Life Star to Hartford Hospital in Hartford and was listed in critical condition.

The Waterford Police Department Accident Investigative Team was called to the scene and is investigating the accident. The roadway was closed for several hours as the Accident Investigation Team investigated the accident.
