The department helped stop traffic for club's event.

Waterford Police held traffic this weekend for the Grow, Inspire, Run, Love, Succeed (G.I.R.L.S.) Running Club’s 5k run this weekend, ensuring their safety as they crossed the street.
The club was formed by two Oswegatchie Elementary School teachers, which aims to teach young girls about positive messages, empowerment, and physical fitness. The girls would run each week, a practice that culminated with the 5k.
The event was held at the the school, which included participation from the girls, parents, and teachers. The girls were also all awarded ice cream afterwards, which was donated by Cowlick’s Ice Cream.
