Skimmers are devices that are illegally installed on or inside ATMs, point-of-sale terminals, or fuel pumps and are used by criminals to capture consumers’ credit, debit, and EBT card data and any associated PIN entries. Criminals use the data to create fake payment cards and then make unauthorized purchases or steal from victims’ accounts.
Waterford police also cautioned drivers about the first day of school, which is Wednesday.
"In the area of the Friendship School and Waterford High School....please expect a little traffic chaos at drop-off and pick-up times for the first couple of days. There are many new parents learning the routes, times and procedures...so please use another road for a day or two if possible. We will have our two traffic officers there to assist as well."
