Waterford PTA Treasurer Arrested On Embezzlement Charges

A former Waterford PTA treasurer has been charged with stealing more than $16,000 in PTA funds.

WATERFORD, CT — A former treasurer for the Quaker Hill Elementary School Parent Teacher Association was arrested on allegations that he embezzled more than $16,000 in PTA funds, The Day reported. John Pagano was charged with second-degree larceny.

Pagano is accused of using a PTA debit card for personal use on numerous occasions, including 29 times at Mohegan Sun and once at Foxwoods. He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New London on June 17, according to The Day.
