Waterford State Aid Takes Major Hit Under Malloy's New Plan

Waterford's 2019 fiscal year state grant allocation would be cut in half; it would receive half of the original $1 million budgeted.

WATERFORD, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and

Waterford would receive 54 percent - or $587,448 less under Malloy's plan. Previously it was slated to get $1.08 million; now, $492,737.
