Waterford Teenager Suspected of Manufacturing Bombs Case Still Active: Police

Though a teen was charged last month, police say they are still awaiting information.

WATERFORD, CT – Police said this week they are still waiting on information regarding hazardous material found in a Prindiville Avenue basement, The Day reported.

The material was found by police in April and believed to be an attempt at manufacturing bombs, according to The Day. A 17-year old was arrested on July 6, who police identified as the only suspect in the case.

The case remains active as police await results from a state lab to determine what the material is, The Day reported. The material was not given priority by the lab due to lack of immediate public danger.
