Woman Dies After Falling Into Well In Waterford: Reports

The incident occurred last week and is under investigation.

WATERFORD, CT — A woman in Waterford died after falling into a well, according to FOX 61.

The incident occurred last Thursday night on Pine Street.

Firefighters responded around 8:20 p.m. to a call reporting a woman fell down a well.

They extricated the woman from the well, and she was taken to Lawrence & Memorial via Waterford Ambulance, according to WFSB 3-TV.

A 52-year-old woman died. She has not been identified.

The Waterford Police Department's Investigative Services Unit is handling the case.
