Woman Pleads No Contest In Fatal Waterford Crash: Report

Court officials said the accused was intoxicated at the time of the crash, which resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Waterford woman.

WATERFORD, CT — A Colchester woman accused of causing a head-on collision on Dec. 26, 2016 in Waterford pleaded no contest Tuesday, the New London Day reported. Court officials said the accused was intoxicated at the time of the crash, which resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Waterford woman.

According to the New London Day, Brianne Colonna, 28, will be sentenced later this year to 16 years in prison, suspended after seven and a half years served, followed by five years probation. The plea deal also comes with multiple conditions, including that her driver's license be suspended while on probation.
