Study Hall Inc

CLINTON, CT — Study Hall, a nonprofit tutoring and educational resource center, is thrilled to announce it has received a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) to support its students. 
Located on Glenwood Road in Clinton, Study Hall provides affordable tutoring and educational support services to area students in third grade and above. In addition to private tutoring at $37 an hour, Study Hall is now in its fourth year offering Elevate SAT, a low-cost, comprehensive SAT preparation program running from September through March. Study Hall also offers executive function coaching, helping students build the organizational, time-management, and study skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. 
Need-based financial assistance is available to students thanks to the generosity of donors and local charities. This grant from CFMC will help Study Hall continue its mission of making quality educational support accessible to students throughout the community, regardless of financial circumstances.

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, which is an annual global campaign to take action on overdose. Communities around the world acknowledge this day with events to honor the lives lost to overdose, offer education and resources, and explore overdose prevention solutions.
<ul class="rx-format-list-to-text"><li>Find resources from local agencies and organizations focused on prevention, recovery, mental health, grief, etc.</li><li>Honor those lost to overdose through memorial activities - - if your life has been touched by overdose, we invite you to bring photos of your loved ones to hang on our tribute board.</li><li>Take home prevention materials, including Narcan/naloxone, medication lock boxes, and drug disposal bags.</li><li>Find support in community as we gather, enjoying food, music, and speakers</li></ul>Food provided for attendees by local food truck, Food Extrovert
