Bunting is made of strips of cloth or material that displays the same colors as the American flag. These decorations have been used since the signing of the Declaration Of Independence on July 4th 1776 giving us our freedom from Great Britain. While most homes will display at least one flag in front, often, colonial style homes old and new will display buntings all across the front porch or a portion of the front facade.
Traditional blunting or pleated fans are not necessary. Draping any designed fabric made up of red, white and blue colors and then tied every few feet to create swags can easily generate the look.
Happy 4th of July!
