WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Women’s Chorale will present its annual "Festival of Women’s Voices" on Saturday, April 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Bristow Middle School, 34 Highland St.
The biannual event brings together singers of multiple generations and features a guest composer. This year’s festival will highlight composer Kate Crellin.
Participating groups include the West Hartford Women’s Chorale, the Cetto Chamber Singers, and treble choirs from Glastonbury and Simsbury high schools.
Organizers said proceeds will benefit the Refugee Women’s Center of Connecticut, a Hartford nonprofit that supports refugee women through programs focused on social connection, education, skill-building, and economic opportunity.
A $15 donation is suggested, though freewill donations will be accepted at the door.
Event organizers said funds raised will help the center continue providing resources and support for women rebuilding their lives in Connecticut.
The festival is open to the public.
