Fair Housing Topic Of Civil Rights Workshop In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Residents seeking clarity on housing laws and disability rights can attend a public workshop on Tuesday, April 28, at the Noah Webster Library, 20 S. Main St.

There, state officials will outline fair housing protections and accessibility requirements.

The session, scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the library’s meeting room, will feature representatives from Connecticut’s Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO).

The program is geared toward both renters and property owners navigating legal obligations and protections related to housing.

Organizers say the event will focus on ensuring housing remains accessible and equitable, with an overview of relevant laws and guidance on compliance.

The workshop is hosted in partnership with West Hartford’s Advisory Commission for Persons with Disabilities.

Registration is required. Free parking will be available at the Isham Garage during the event.
