WEST HARTFORD, CT — Volunteers are being sought for a neighborhood clean-up event along Park Road scheduled for Saturday, May 2, organizers said.

The Park Road Association will host the spring clean-up walk from 9 a.m. to noon, with a rain date of May 3.

Participants are asked to gather between 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. at Playhouse on Park, 244 Park Road, before the walk begins.

Organizers said the event is open to residents, business owners, and other volunteers interested in helping remove litter throughout the Park Road neighborhood.

Participants will divide into five groups to cover different walking routes.

Gloves and garbage bags will be provided, though volunteers may bring their own equipment.

Attendees are also encouraged to wear Park Road Beautification shirts or Vision Zero safety gear if available.

Following the clean-up, participants are invited to gather informally at Salt + Lime Mexican Cantina.

Those unable to attend are encouraged to clean up outside their homes or businesses independently over the weekend, organizers said.
