West Hartford Seeks Owner Of Dead Cat Found In Residential Area

Officials in West Hartford are asking for help identifying the owner of a black cat found deceased near Grassmere Avenue.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford Animal Control is asking for the public’s help in identifying the owner of a deceased cat found Wednesday morning in a residential neighborhood.

Officials said the cat was located April 29 at approximately 10:33 a.m. on a property in the area of Grassmere Avenue.

The animal is described as all black and wearing a red and silver collar.

Animal control is seeking to notify the owner and make appropriate arrangements.

Officials noted the situation is difficult and expressed appreciation for the community’s assistance.

Anyone who believes the cat may belong to them, or who recognizes the description, is asked to contact West Hartford Animal Control at 860-570-8818.
