West Hartford Wants To Hear From Folks About Being An 'Age-Friendly' Community

West Hartford residents are invited to take a community survey to help guide the town’s Age-Friendly Action Plan.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford officials are asking residents to participate in a new community survey aimed at shaping the town’s Age-Friendly Action Plan.

The survey is part of the town’s ongoing Age-Friendly planning process and seeks feedback on issues including housing affordability, transportation, walkability, health services, civic engagement, public spaces and accessibility.

West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor encouraged residents to participate in a promotional video about the initiative.

Town officials said the survey results will help guide priorities and planning efforts in the coming years.

The town is encouraging all adults to complete the survey.

Additional information about the initiative, including upcoming community engagement opportunities, is available on the town’s Age-Friendly Initiative webpage at .

Residents also can find information through QR code signs posted around town and at local senior centers.

“Let’s work together to build a community where everyone can grow and age well,” town officials said in an announcement.
