WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford officials are asking residents, businesses, and community organizations to help shape the future of Kennedy Park by participating in a community survey.
The survey is part of a comprehensive planning effort led by the town's Leisure Services Department to evaluate the current use of the park and identify potential improvements.
Located at 160 Oakwood Ave., West Hartford, Kennedy Park was built in 1964 and features a variety of recreational amenities, including a playground, basketball courts, ball fields, a six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool with a slide and a splash pad.
Town officials are seeking feedback on how residents currently use the park, what amenities they value, and what additions or changes they would like to see in the future.
The department is encouraging participation from a broad range of stakeholders, including local businesses, schools, nearby residents and community groups.
Officials said the information collected will help identify service gaps and provide a better understanding of the park's user demographics.
The survey will remain open through Monday, July 6.
Town officials said community feedback will play a key role in ensuring that plans for Kennedy Park reflect the needs and interests of residents.
