WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is offering free wellness screenings at several locations in West Hartford and Bloomfield, with no appointments required.
The screenings are open to everyone and may include checks of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen level, blood sugar, and weight, according to the health district.
In West Hartford, screenings are scheduled every Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St., Room 417.
Additional West Hartford screenings are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Bishops Corner Senior Center, 15 Starkel Road; the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Noah Webster Library, 20 S. Main St.; the third Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Community Center, 1106 New Britain Ave.; and the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Faxon Branch Library, 1073 New Britain Ave.
In Bloomfield, screenings are offered every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Bloomfield Community Center, 330 Park Ave.
Additional Bloomfield screenings are scheduled at Prosser Library, 1 Tunxis Ave., from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 12, Oct. 14, and Dec. 9. Screenings at McMahon Wintonbury Library, 1015 Blue Hills Ave., are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 14 and Nov. 9.
No appointment is necessary.
