• Driver Hits West Hartford Police Cruiser, Flees To Farmington, 2 Hartford Residents Charged: Police (patch.com) — West Hartford police say a traffic stop on Prospect Avenue turned dangerous when a driver hit a police cruiser and fled toward Farmington, sparking a pursuit. Two Hartford residents were arrested after allegedly running from the vehicle, and now face multiple charges, while West Hartford police seek any additional information from local witnesses.
• 'You Carry the Dawn': West Hartford Teachers Welcomed Back at Convocation - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — West Hartford teachers and staff packed Conard High School Monday for an upbeat convocation launching the 2026-27 school year, with Superintendent Paul Vicinus urging educators to "carry the dawn" for students. Speakers celebrated recent district accolades, welcomed nearly 50 new staff, and emphasized relationships, teamwork, and rekindling students' sense of wonder as thousands of children return to West Hartford classrooms Wednesday.
