Beer Festival Returning To Noah Webster House In West Hartford; Tickets On Sale Now (patch.com) — Beer lovers in West Hartford can look forward to the Real Ale Beer Festival and Cask Challenge returning to the Noah Webster House on Saturday, Sept. 12. More than 20 regional breweries, meaderies, and distilleries will pour unique, historically inspired creations, with live music, food trucks, and access to parts of the historic house, all to support the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society.
2. West Hartford Public Schools Provides Details of Connecticut School Nutrition Program - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Families with students in West Hartford Public Schools can now review detailed income guidelines and application steps for free or reduced-price breakfasts and lunches for the 2026-2027 school year. The district explains who qualifies automatically through programs like SNAP, TFA, HUSKY A, or S-EBT, and how others can apply online or appeal eligibility decisions.
3. West Hartford Public Schools Students Return to Classrooms - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Students across West Hartford Public Schools returned to classrooms on Aug. 26, kicking off the 2026-2027 year with new leadership at Morley School and plenty of first-day excitement. District leaders reported smooth bus operations, strong enrollment, and hallways full of students reconnecting and forming new friendships.
4. 11 Connecticut Farmers Markets Where $15 Fills Your Tote With Local Produce (takingthekids.com) — West Hartford residents can stretch $15 at the long-running Saturday Farmers' Market by Town Hall, open May through December with rotating vendors offering produce, flowers, baked goods, and more. 5. Greater Hartford Foundation Awards $630K To 38 Nonprofits For Basic Needs (patch.com) — Greater Hartford Gives has awarded $630,000 to 38 nonprofits, including a $10,000 grant to support the West Hartford Food Pantry's work for local residents. Most of the funding targets food assistance, with additional support for personal care items, emergency financial help, and clothing across the region.
