WEST HARTFORD, CT — Drivers parking in West Hartford now have another way to pay without reaching for cash or visiting a parking kiosk.
The town announced that ParkMobile is officially available as a mobile payment option throughout West Hartford, including municipal parking garages, surface lots and on-street parking areas.
The service allows residents, visitors and customers to pay through the ParkMobile app.
Drivers who do not want to download the app or create an account can instead use new Scan to Pay or Text to Pay options.
ParkMobile is being offered in addition to West Hartford's existing parking payment systems.
Passport Parking and parking kiosks, where available, will continue to be accepted, according to the town.
Drivers using ParkMobile have three payment options:
The ParkMobile app also allows customers to extend their parking time remotely where permitted and receive alerts before a parking session expires.
As part of the rollout, West Hartford will install new and updated signs throughout its municipal parking system identifying the available payment methods.
Drivers should check the sign at their parking location for the appropriate zone number before beginning a parking session.
Town officials said adding ParkMobile is part of an ongoing effort to modernize West Hartford's municipal parking system and provide customers with more convenient ways to pay.
Questions about the new system can be directed to the West Hartford Municipal Parking Division at 860-561-8220 or whmp@westhartfordct.gov.
