WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford and Hartford officials will host a public meeting Thursday, Sept. 10, to discuss an ongoing study of flooding concerns along Kane and Kennedy Brook and possible ways to reduce future risks.
The public information meeting will be held at the Elmwood Community Center auditorium, 1106 New Britain Ave.
An open house is scheduled from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with a presentation from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Officials said the study is intended to better understand flooding conditions and risks within the Kane and Kennedy Brook watershed and identify potential improvements.

The meeting will allow residents to learn why the two municipalities are conducting the study and provide feedback on flooding issues and possible solutions.
Free parking will be available at the community center. Attendees should enter the facility from Burgoyne Street.
West Hartford Community Interactive will also livestream the meeting on its YouTube channel for residents who cannot attend in person.
WHCi will record the meeting, and the presentation will be added to the project webpage after September 10th.
Public participation will continue after the meeting. According to the meeting announcement, residents can submit comments on the study through Sept. 24.
