WEST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — A trip to a Stop & Shop in West Hartford resulted in a massive lottery payout that made the high grocery prices afflicting the nation a bit easier to take.
According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the Hartford resident won $200,000 with a lottery ticket purchased at the supermarket, located at 1235 Farmington Ave., on Monday, Sept. 14.
The winning game was the Cash Royale scratch-off ticket, which costs $20 to play.
The $200,000 win represented the game's maximum possible outcome.
