Man Struck By Vehicle In West Hartford; Intersection Closed: Police

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning at a busy West Hartford intersection, police said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning at the intersection of Kane Street and Oakwood Avenue, according to the West Hartford Police Department.

Police, firefighters and AMR medical personnel were dispatched to the intersection at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, following a report of a vehicle-pedestrian crash.

Investigators determined an adult man was crossing Kane Street when he was struck by a vehicle, police said.

Police did not immediately provide information about the pedestrian's condition or whether he was transported to a hospital.

The driver, also an adult man, remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, according to police.

The intersection remained closed Tuesday while the West Hartford Police Department's Traffic Division processed the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
