WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Town of West Hartford has received national recognition for its municipal budget presentation.
The town announced it received the Government Finance Officers Association's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fiscal year that began July 1, 2026.
Town officials said the recognition reflects the teamwork and attention to detail involved in compiling and proofreading the annual budget document.
West Hartford specifically recognized Pattie Lewis, Lisa Newton, Erica Sledge, Jackie McLaughlin, Amy Sokola, Eva Nascimento, and Karie Hupfer, along with the town's financial services staff, for their work on the budget.
The award recognizes the town's presentation of its 2026-27 fiscal year budget.
