WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Town of West Hartford is looking for residents interested in serving on eight municipal boards and commissions that currently have vacancies.
More than 30 boards and commissions advise elected officials and town department leaders on issues affecting West Hartford's welfare and quality of life, according to the town.
"We are fortunate that West Hartford has so many residents willing to share their expertise and knowledge on our Boards and Commissions," West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor said in a statement. "They provide valuable input to elected officials making important decisions that affect our town."

Applicants must be West Hartford residents and registered voters. While applications are accepted at any time, the town is encouraging residents to apply for the current openings.
Information about the town's boards and commissions, including their missions, agendas, minutes, and meeting schedules, is available through the town's website.
Residents may also attend board and commission meetings to learn more about their work.
The town said it wants its boards and commissions to reflect the community's range of cultural identities, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
Residents can submit an "Expression of Interest" form electronically or mail it to the West Hartford Town Clerk's Office, 50 S. Main St., West Hartford, CT 06107.
