The Home Depot extends its appreciation to the military community by providing a year-round 10% discount on select merchandise. The offer is open to active-duty and reserve personnel, military retirees, veterans and eligible spouses, including Gold Star spouses. Customers must register for the benefit and verify their military status; discounts are limited to $400 per calendar year.

Red Robin is honoring veterans and active-duty military members with a free Red's Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The promotion is available at participating U.S. locations for café and drive-thru orders. Eligible customers don't need to show military identification but should tell their barista when ordering.
130 Long Hill Street, East Hartford
About 15 minutes away, Square Peg Pizzeria offers active-duty military members, veterans and first responders 15% off their meals as a thank-you for their service. Eligible customers, including police officers, firefighters and EMTs, must present a valid military, veteran or first responder ID to receive the discount.
