WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Town of West Hartford is inviting residents to share what the holiday season means to them through photographs, artwork, and drawings that could be displayed on light pole banners in West Hartford Center.
West Hartford Municipal Parking is accepting submissions through Friday, Nov. 6, for the holiday banner project, which aims to capture the spirit of the season through images reflecting the community's traditions and celebrations.
The town is seeking images that highlight a variety of holiday themes, including winter celebrations, family traditions, kindness and giving, community and togetherness, hope and joy.
Selected images may be featured on light pole banners throughout West Hartford Center during the holiday season.
How To Submit
All submissions must be in a vertical or portrait format to accommodate the banners.
According to the town's submission guidelines, participants must have created the images or own the rights to them.
They must also have permission from everyone depicted in the images, including permission from a parent or guardian for anyone younger than 18.
By submitting an image, participants grant the town an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, display, publish, and distribute the image in any form or media for any town purpose without notice, credit, or compensation.
Submissions will not be returned, and the town is not obligated to use any submitted image.
The holiday banner project is funded through West Hartford Municipal Parking funds.
Residents interested in participating should email their favorite photograph, image, or drawing to Banners2026@westhartfordct.gov by Friday, Nov. 6.
